So 2014 is coming to an end. Seeing as I only did 2 posts in 2013 it's safe to say this is the year that my blog has properly become, well, a blog. I've put together a top 10 of my favourite outfits from the year, and I'm looking forward to seriously upping my blogging game in 2015. White Boyfriend Tee

boyfriend t-shirt // asos
leggings // topshop
nike air force 1s // foot locker
palladium beanie // footasylum

Holla! Back to the super casual masculine outfits once more. I feel like every day I wake up and think "which gender am I channeling today?" Plain beanie, boyfriend tee and chunky trainers offset by these feminine, patterned leggings.

I've got one more post to go before the end of the year :o

 Hope you like!

New Balance 996

t-shirt // asos
jeans // topshop
coat // primark
new balance trainers // footasylum
bag // primark

Merry Christmas!

A little post to show off my new trainers - an early Christmas present from my boyfriend, these New Balance 996s. A beautiful beige suede with lime green accents. They'll be shown off a bit more in future posts, and have actually just gone into sale today in Footasylum. Also introducing this Primark coat, which you might have seen on a hundred other girls but at £25 I couldn't resist it!

The t-shirt I'm wearing is also still online on Asos. I usually don't go for catchy slogan type tees but I thought it was quirky and cute, and it's just a bit longer than a crop top so a really good length.

P.S. The messy hipster bun has now become the sleek half up bun for me.

Let me know what you think!

Winter Warmer

jumper // primark (men's)
jeans // asos
trainers // new balance
necklace // topshop

Say hello to my new mom jeans. These are currently on sale on Asos with only a few sizes left! They're tighter than my blue Topshop pair, but are a lot more flattering which is great. I'm so into wearing all black with one piece of colour at the minute, and this outfit is perfect. This jumper is all black with beautiful white sewn details (if you look at the closer image below) and is going to be a staple piece I'll be wearing in Jan/Feb. It even has elbow patches! And isn't this half moon necklace gorgeous? I think it adds a quirky/mystical element to an otherwise simple and cosy outfit.

Crop & Cardie

crop // american apparel
jeans // topshop
cardigan // river island
boots // asos
bag // primark
matte me lip cream // "birthday suit" sleek via boots

The American Apparel crop is back, this time a bit more casual (unfortunately I can't see it on the website). Even though it's a crop it's the perfect winter crop because it's really high quality material that's thick and perfect for layering. I'll just have to put up with the cold tummy. This cardigan is from er 2011? It always makes a return in the colder months :)

The Bizarre: Opening Party

Last Thursday I attended the opening party for 'The Bizarre', an apparel shop that has just opened in the Northern Quarter, Manchester city centre. The Bizarre began as an independent apparel label called Bizarre Tees, started by Damian Gray, who I met at University (we both wrote for the student newspaper ^_^). He asked me if I would come along and possibly blog the event, and I was happy to! The Bizarre doesn't just stock Damian's own label, but 8 independent labels, which is really exciting for streetwear apparel lovers like myself. I even own a few t-shirts already by Hopeless Youth, one of the brands stocked at The Bizarre :)

If you're interested in picking up new t-shirts or sweaters that won't be worn by 9/10 guys and gals on the high street then I would suggest taking a look in The Bizarre! It's always great to see small ideas come to fruition, and I'm chuffed for Damian, the shop (as you can see from the images) looks amazing!

90s White Crop

crop-top // asos
jeans // topshop
jacket // primark
slip-ons // office
choker // topshop

This crop top found its way into my wardrobe as a result of Asos' Black Friday weekend 20% off sale... they only had a size 6 left but it's not even that tight, so I'm not sure how the sizing worked out on this one (I am a typical size 8). Featured for the second time are my new holographic slip-on shoes, which I am still trying to break in. This outfit is just a mixture of simplistic pieces with a pop of interest here and there. Scoop-back crop, fluffy textured jacket and shiny shoes. Yeah, it's not that winter appropriate, but it reminds of the smart-casual outfits I always wore on uni nights out. Side note: a bit of cheeky midriff never hurt anyone!

Thoughts?

All Black Asos

boyfriend sweater // asos
jeans // asos (similar)
boots // asos
clutch // monki via asos
lip cream // "birthday suit" (sleek)

Hey! Long time no.... blog? I've had some image issues. I still do because unfortunately my wardrobe is messing up the colouring of these pictures. Hopefully that will get sorted soon (me and Photoshop will be best friends.)

All black everythang + a holographic clutch bag. Showing off my new boyfriend sweater and gorgeous black ankle boots. I've never had a solid faux-leather pair of boots besides my Balenciaga wannabe cut-out boots. They have a small heel which gives a bit of lift but is also extremely comfortable. The sweater is my new favourite thing to wear with everything, so prepare to see it styled into a hundred different outfits!
